About the Artist

Hi, I’m Rachel, an all-around creative artist who’s been living from art since 2023. I founded Cassiopeia Creations in 2025 as a way to bring together everything I love—handmaking, storytelling, and a lifelong connection to fandoms.

I grew up an autistic girlie reading fantasy, watching science fiction, and falling in love with the gentle magic of Studio Ghibli. Social life was challenging at times, and I couldn't always express how I felt and what was going on within me - so I escaped into imagination and expressed myself through creation instead. Those worlds still inspire my work today, shaping whimsical, imaginative pieces made to be worn, used, and treasured. The biggest compliment is seeing people actually wearing what I made - that it's not just gathering dust on a shelf, but out and about!

I'm grown now, living a quiet life in the countryside in a cozy, whimsical home, creating art while doing my best to navigate life in balance—with myself, my creativity, motherhood, marriage, and simply being human in this increasingly inhuman world. Every piece I make carries a bit of me, my dream, my weird ideas, my imagination and my never-ending love for creative expression.

I use a mix of traditional and modern techniques, including crochet, wire wrapping, beading, resin casting, and bookbinding - and I'm always looking for new disciplines and materials to try out and learn about. I just love learning, and much of Cassiopeia Creations has indeed been a learning curve, with ample amounts of mistakes and valuable lessons.

But that also means that no two items are exactly alike—every creation is made with attention to detail, creativity, and a love for storytelling though. I always strive to make pieces that spark joy in people, like they spark joy in me. Weather you’re shopping for yourself or looking for a meaningful gift, each item is designed to bring a little magic into everyday life - at least that's why I do, what I do. To battle the mundane.

I mostly feel like the luckiest squirrel in the entire forest though 🤍 Simply because the support and love I've received from my amazing customers, not just monetarily but through exposure, modelling, photographing, advice, sparring and body doubling. It's been such a crazy ride to experience these incredible people rallying around me, helping me to achieve my dream and improve myself and my craft.

Like my dad always say "It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you do your best."

Thank you for being here and for supporting handmade art 🤍

Much Love
